Really? SERIOUSLY?!

I know I almost never use this blog, even for its intended purpose.

But some things just need to be expressed, and this is one of them.

It has come to my attention that there is a sect of conservative lawmakers attempting to block anti-bullying and gay rights laws because they protect a minority that they simply dislike. While I'm sad to say that this does not surprise me as much as it should if this world were as decent a place as it ought to be, it's the next part that SERIOUSLY FROSTS MY COOKIES. (Yes. I just said that. Deal.)

Evidently, gay rights laws and anti-bullying legislature impinge upon religious freedom.

Yes. That's right. Protecting minorities because everyone ought to be equal is impinging on religious freedom. Because conservative religions are anti-homosexual.

Specifically, the laws that these legislators are attempting to block are those that protect the LGBT community, gays, homosexuals, or whatever the politcally correct term is this week, from hate crimes.

Last time I checked? Committing hate crimes is not an essential part of any religion on this planet.

I usually don't talk about my religious affiliations. I've had too many arguments spring up just from people saying the "r" word in someone else's earshot - like, as in, twenty feet away earshot. Which to me is pretty darn ridiculous. But I will say right now. Folks, I don't care what religion you're from - if you believe that committing hate crimes against gays will endear you to whatever Forces you worship? You're worshiping the wrong Forces. Sorry. You are. I am ashamed of anyone who thinks that hating people and killing people and hurting people is the right thing to do. I am. Because anyone who believes those things is a piss-poor excuse for a human being.

Being gay is against your religion? I don't agree, but okay, fine. You don't have to like them. You don't even have to respect them, or their lifestyle, or choose it for yourself. You don't even have to be nice to them.

But you'd damn well better not murder and hurt and bully and ridicule them just because someone told you that being gay is wrong. We don't beat, batter, abuse, and publically humiliate criminals who have actually done something worth punishing. We don't crush in their skull in some dark alley. Even the ones who we do put to death go silently and quietly into the dark abyss for their Maker to sort out. And that's after a fair trial by their peers condemns them for acts so terrible they can't be reformed.

Our Constitution, our founding body of law, and not only that, but our founding beliefs say that no man woman or child should have to suffer those kinds of punishment. And you want to take that all away, just because you don't like who someone chooses to sleep with at night.

I am appalled. Shocked and appalled.

Ahhh, finally

THis is kind of a nothing post, but... yeah. FInally, I have my new school laptop set up exactly the way I like it. Movie Maker 6.0 (I love Win7), Winamp for music, Media Player Classic for video (one of my teachers had me set up VLC - blech. It's HORRIBLE), and my CCCP codec pack :D And with my nice, Hi-Def laptop screen and Win7's superior graphics support.... mmm. Everything looks great :D

So, yeah. I wonder, is anyone still reading this? Hmmm.

Why?

It's graduation, folks. Time of parting and other 'such sweet sorrows', a time of rejoicing and of sadness that a chapter in our life has finally come to its end.

Yet against this backdrop is always the same-old, same-old. Every time my life gets hectic, every time I need to spend some time with myself and my thoughts and my plans for the future, my freinds' lives go up in smoke.

THis, that, the other thing - drama, whine, bitch, bitch. Always the same themes. No matter how many times I keep saying it, no matter how many times they tell me my advice is good, two months and things go up in flames again.

Why do they always pick times like these? Why do we always end up here, at the same place?

This year, it's my senior year, a year when my friends should be gathering around me, signing yearbooks and supporting and congratulating me through all of my ups and downs. Yet somehow they're fracturing apart and drgging me with them.

Yeah, it's true. I've said 'no more' before and always ended up breaking the promise. BUt this is my graduation. My time to shine. My time to be the center of attention, take center stage.

So, sorry, guys. But if you can't keep yourselves from shitting on me? Stay away from me for the next week. I'm not goign to let you guys ruin my life for the most important week of it so far.

Wow, Long Time No See!

Hey guys! Wow, long time since I posted up here.

As you may or may not know, I'm a semi-active member of Fanfiction.net, with mostly oneshots and a few inactive multi-chapter stories under my belt.

As you also probably do know, I'm also extremely obsessed with an avid fan of Kingdom Hearts.

In celebration of all the new Kingdom Hearts titles coming out, my inspiration has been acting up a storm, and without a laptop to make videos with (my fan blew - BLORGH) I'm going to be turning to fanfcition to deal with it. With my fangirl analysis mode kicking in, I've already formed several theories about the plot of Reconnect (also known as KH3), and I'm going to be writing my own, AU version of what I believe will be happening in that game. Helping me out will be my wonderful boyfriend, Michael Fri of the Black Scepter writing team. The story will be hosted on my profile, but I'm not really sure what it's going to be called.

Unfortunately, I'm only going to be posting a preview of what is to come; I want to get several chapters written as a buffer to keep this one from going the way of my other multi-chapter stories when other things call my attention away. Hopefully, having a co-author will help that somewhat as well.
